The charming town of Granada

The charming town of Granada   |  Granada, Nicaragua  |   Other than the beauty of the natural attractions of Nicaragua, such as the Mombacho Volcano or the Lake Nicaragua, I have to say that one of my favorites was to visit the town of Granada. Know to be one of the oldest cities in America, this petite colonial town stands out to me as a must visit destination in Central America. How would I best define it, well maybe as a small version of Cusco, Peru. See the full post and my photos @www.carlosmeliablog.com

One if by Land, Two if by Sea Restaurant

One if by Land, Two if by Sea Restaurant  |  New York, United States  |  If there is a romantic restaurant in New York, it is One if by Land, Two if by Sea. What a better place to have a date out in the city with my man, and celebrate his recent success and achievements. As the Paul Revere’s Ride poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow goes …” He said to his friend, …If the British march by land or sea from the town to-night, Hang a lantern aloft in the belfry arch of the North Church tower as a signal light,– One if by land, and Two if by sea; and I on the opposite shore will be, ready to ride and spread the alarm through every Middlesex village and farm, for the country folk to be up and to arm…”. Le Ferme Saint Simeon inHonfleur

Le Ferme Saint Simeon inHonfleur  |  Honfleur, France  |  During my visit to Deauville a few month ago, I have the great experience to stay at this lovely hotel, by Relais & Chateaux. A hotel full of charm and lots of history. I was hosted at one of their Executive Rooms, with stunning views overlooking both the garden and the waters of Normandy at the Seine estuary. Approximately a beautiful 20 minutes drive from Deauville to Honfleur along the waterline. Read the full article at www.carlosmeliablog.com ( post submitted by Carlos Melia )

EZEIZA Airport brand new international terminal

EZEIZA Airport brand new international terminal  |  Buenos Aires, Argentina  |  To my great surprise, two days ago while at EZEIZA International Airport to take my flight back to New York, I found out that the new Terminal B is ready and operative. I had to wait at the airport for over 3 hours, on a very warm summer day, where the air conditioning wasn’t working as it should, and I had nothing to do at the old Terminal A. So I decided to wonder around the airport, the Duty Free Shop and alleys of the airport. All of the sudden I found this new corridor, which had in the distance a new restaurant/cafe I had never seen before, so I walked towards it…. and WOW Airport heaven unfolded before my eyes. Astrid & Gaston Porteño Peruvian flavors

Astrid & Gaston Porteño Peruvian flavors  |  Buenos Aires, Argentina  |  Last night I came for dinner to one of the, to be, new and top Peruvian restaurants of Buenos Aires, Astrid & Gaston, by peruvian Cheff Gastón Acurio. It is difficult for me to be bias, being that I was in Peru for over two weeks just a month ago, trying some of the best Ceviches, Causas, Tiraditos among other delights in Lima, Cusco and the Sacred Valley. This is where I learnt about them for first time, since they have many locations around South/Central America and Spain. Funny enough I think, I might be one of the few that comes to Buenos Aires and its first choice it to go to a Peruvian Restaurant over a Parrilla. But hey I am a native Argentinean and on top of that I do not eat beef. Read the full article at www.carlosmeliablog.com ( post submitted by Carlos Melia )
